Singing praises unto the Lord is truly her passion, as she loves God with all of her being.
In her formative years of grade school, Sharonne was apart of The Mosaic Youth Theatre of Detroit. She also participated in the Rhonda Walker foundation as a mentee and a peer educator for Alternatives for Girls Organization in Detroit. While attending Spring Arbor University, she served 2 years as President of The Gospel Choir.
Her love of music was nurtured by her father, the Reverend Thomas B. Pettus, who was a member of the music ministry staff of Messiah Baptist Church, and Minister of Music at Holy Hope Church Baptist, both of Detroit Michigan.
Currently she is a member of the anointed gospel quartet group JOY. Singing in JOY for the last 7 years has afforded her the opportunity travel and perform throughout the United States.
Her life’s scripture is 2 Corinthians 12:9 “And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.” She truly lives by the sentiment that in her weakest times God is at his strongest!
